CEU Requirements
Massage licenses expire on August 31 of every off numbered year. The next expiration date is August 31, 2009. You can earn most of your CEUs by attending FSMAT meetings. CEU required Technique (12) Remaining general hours (6) HIV/AIDS,Florida Law and Rules (2) Ethics (2), Medical Errors (2), Total Hours required are 24. First time licensure renewals: 1 hours for each month or partial month, HIV/AIDS and Medical Errors. Graduates of a board-approved massage school who received 2 hours in law and ethics to initial licensure will not be requires to complete additional hours for renewal.

Herbal Poultice Acupressure

Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is a treatment targeting on the head, neck, scalp, face and shoulder massage using oils blended with therapeutic essential oils using specific techniques to enhance health and beauty. This massage promotes hair growth, eases stress and tension and is a very useful treatment for headaches, eye strain and sinus problems.

Sports Massage - 16 CEU's
Learn the distinction between full-body Swedish massage and sports specific massage, and how sports massage is used in private practice and spa settings as well as in the Sports Arena. This course will teach LMT’s the different types of sports massage, the application of stretching, how exercise affects the body, the effects and importance of proper nutrition and sleep in maintaining an athletes optimum health. How severe and extreme climate conditions affect athletic performance, athlete health and the athlete’s ability to benefit from bodywork. LMT’s will perform pre-event and post-event massages, and gain theory and practical knowledge of maintenance massage.
Requirement for course: comfortable loose clothing and footwear…..massage lotion.

This is a two day course. Bamboossage™ is an escape to the warm tropical breezes of the islands. It uses a set of bamboo and rattan sets that are warmed and used to massage the body. Bamboo massage can be used for both Swedish and deep tissue massage. Taking the work off your hands!

Prenatal Massage
This seminar is designed to fit the needs of students and licensed Massage Therapists only. Portions of this text have been reviewed and critiqued by a panel of OBGYN's at the National Institute of Health and approved as outstanding by the Florida Board of Massage. This seminar covers the primary contra-indications when working with a pregnant woman and safely preventing any medical errors as required by Florida Law. By taking this class, you may find your own personal niche as a certified Prenatal Therapist.
